How to Plant
Prepare a hole and place the top of your bulb about 2″ below the soil line.
Where to Plant
Zones 3-8.
Bleeding Heart prefers partial to full shade. The absolute best location is where it will receive morning sun and afternoon shade.
This plant performs at its best in moist, rich organic soil. You can help your plant thrive by applying a 2" layer of mulch at the base to help lock in soil moisture and keep its roots cooler.
When to Plant
Bleeding Heart should be planted in the spring, after the threat of frost has passed.
Additional Care Instructions
Foliage will die back after the first frost in autumn, simply remove dead foliage and lightly mulch the ground to help protect the roots for overwintering.
